The All-India Mahila Empowerment Party, abbreviated as AIMEP, is an Indian regional political party. It was founded on 12 November 2017 by Dr Nowhera Shaikh. The prime agenda of the party, as stated, is empowering women, irrespective of caste, creed, and region. In its launching ceremony itself, the party has taken up the issue of women’s representation in the Indian parliament, demanding the implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill. The Election Commission of India has recognized AIMEP as a national political party, allotting “Diamond” as its election symbol. AIMEP contested all 224 seats in the Karnataka Assembly Elections in April 2018 and is going to contest all 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh. (MEP) has made all the right moves by announcing 50% reservations to women candidates in the upcoming elections across India. MEP is a secular party that believes in Justice with Humanity and aims to fight for women empowerment, democracy, and equality of all citizens irrespective of gender, caste, creed, region, religion and social status. MEP aims to fight against illiteracy, child labour, child abuse, and crimes against women for a better society.
